Shelley
When asked what she loves about gymnastics, Shelley replied “I absolutely love witnessing the progress that children make as they work hard towards mastering new skills. The excitement and sense of accomplishment that fills the gym when a child achieves a new skill or finally rings the bell is truly heartwarming.
However, what truly brings me the most joy is seeing children with additional needs thriving in classes. It's incredible to watch them come to class with smiles on their faces, forming bonds with their coaches, and showing remarkable growth and improvement over time. The positive changes that I see in these children are truly inspiring and are a testament to the power of gymnastics in fostering confidence, strength, and social connections.”
An interesting fact about Shelley is that she was born in the UK, raised in New Zealand since the age of 3, and made the move to Australia 12 years ago!
